Why did you launch Ripples?

We are campaigners ourselves, and we noticed that there were often issues we wanted to take action on, but we lacked the platform to do so.

In particular, while there are other petition sites, it can be very difficult to take petitions to the next level, initiating local actions, writing to MPs, do a quick call for a social media storm and so on.

How is Ripples different from other petition platforms?

Ripples is a new concept. Sometimes there are overlapping issues with other petition platforms but usually we are pursuing quite different angles, and we also have more emphasis on tools (such as write to your MP) not just petitions.

We don’t see ourselves as competing with other websites, any more than one petition on our site is fighting with any other petition.

I have an idea for a campaign, how can I contact Ripples?

You’re always welcome to email us on make@r.ippl.es with campaign ideas. However, please bear in mind that we are a small team and unfortunately don’t always have the capacity to launch additional campaigns based on suggestions.

I run an organisation and want to start a campaign, can I do that through Ripples?

Yes, we do sometimes run campaigns in collaboration with organisations that share our values. Please send us an email on make@r.ippl.es and we’ll follow up.

How is Ripples funded?

Ripples is a registered non-profit and not supported by any political party. We are 100% funded through donations from individuals.

That is how we ensure we can stay independent and willing to raise any issue – no matter how controversial it is to those in power.

How can I donate to Ripples?

Just visit our donate page – you can choose any amount and pay by card.

Can I donate by PayPal?

Not yet, but we’re hoping to launch that soon.

Can I donate monthly?

At the moment we only accept one-off donations, but we’re planning to offer monthly donations soon.
