FAQs

Why did you launch Ripples?

We are campaigners ourselves, and we noticed that there were often issues we wanted to take action on, but we lacked the platform to do so.

In particular, while there are other petition sites, it can be very difficult to take petitions to the next level, initiating local actions, writing to MPs, do a quick call for a social media storm and so on.

How is Ripples different from other petition platforms?

Ripples is a new concept. Sometimes there are overlapping issues with other petition platforms but usually we are pursuing quite different angles, and we also have more emphasis on tools (such as write to your MP) not just petitions.

We don’t see ourselves as competing with other websites, any more than one petition on our site is fighting with any other petition.
